SUMMARY:Board Open Questions Discussion
DESCRIPTION:In alignment with our established policies and governance practices the Board of Trustees endeavors to host “Open Questions” on an annual basis. The perspectives and sharing gathered from congregation members through this process supports on-going planning by the Board\, the Minister and Staff\, as well as the congregation. \nBoard members will be hosting “Open Question Tables” in the Fellowship Hall from 11:15 am – 11:45 am on the following Sundays: April 5\, April 12\, and April 19. \nThis year’s questions are meant to support us in reflecting on and better understanding how to prepare ourselves to courageously engage with integrity and faith in collaborative relationships with a broad range of allies as we continue to resist and respond to the rise of authoritarianism in the US. \nQuestions: \n\n\nWhat do you need to feel cared about as a congregation member to be able to risk and grow at UUS? \n\n\nWhat do we\, as a congregation\, mean by shared UU / UUS values?  \n\n\nHow tolerant of others’ perspectives and values\, which we may perceive as intolerant\, do we need to be at UUS? \n\n\nThe role of the Board member at these sessions is primarily to listen and take notes. I hope you will find a time to share your feelings\, thoughts and perspectives with the Board through this process this month!
