(Virtual Service) Finding Hope, Healing, and Gratitude in a Hard Place

Join us for a Thanksgiving service and new member ceremony. This Sunday we’ll be welcoming new members, celebrating ways that we find hope, healing, and gratitude in the hard times, and sharing cornbread and apple cider together as we reflect on harvest times.

Please join us for a drive-through event on Saturday, November 21st, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at UUS to pick up your cornbread (regular, gluten-free, and vegan options) and apple cider/juice for Sunday.

If you’re able to bring something, we’ll also be collecting items for the CommUnity food bank. Given the pandemic surge we’ll be keeping strict physical distancing and hand hygiene, everyone attending must wear a mask, and the members who made the cornbread muffins have been asked to wear masks and practice hand hygiene during baking and packaging. Items that CommUnity is particularly looking for are:

  • Canned goods: soup, meat, fruits, veggies, pasta sauce
  • Boxed items: cereal, mashed potatoes
  • Dried items: rice, pasta
  • Diapers and baby items
  • Personal items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos, soap, etc, including adult diapers

UUS invites you to join this service using Zoom Meeting:

A breakout session for visitors is available afterward.
