In addition to our classes and groups for children and youth, twice a month we have gatherings designed to build community between families and the wider UUS Community.

UUS Community Meal

At 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month September through May, we host a community meal that is open to all UUS families, friends and members. There is no set charge, but donations are always welcome.

Friday Family Night

Each month all UUS families are invited to join us for an evening of good food, good conversation, and good companions. Family Nights are co-hosted by the RE program and a different family each month. Hosts provide the main dish, and families are invited to bring a side or dessert to share.

The evening will go from 6-9 p.m., and families are welcome to come for part or all of the event. Mark your calendars for these Family Nights:

  • Oct. 25, Nov. 22, Dec. 20, Jan. 24, Feb. 21, March 20, April – TBD, May 15

Family co-hosts

Co-hosting families will work with the Director of Lifespan Religious Education to coordinate picking up the main dish (the program will cover the cost) and then ensuring the space has been cleaned up at the end of the night. The co-host family will not be responsible for all the cleaning but will help assist with the process. Sign up to be a co-host family
