    The Center for Worker Justice's priority issues include defending workers’ rights to proper payment and safe work, improving housing options for low-income residents, confronting discrimination and ensuring equal access to community services, and providing assistance to those affected by immigration policies.

  • United Action for Youth is our February Community Partner

    United Action for Youth (UAY) is a Johnson County community organization whose mission is to nurture the potential of all youth to create, grow, and lead. Services include recording and art studios, street outreach, counseling and programs for pregnant and parent teens, health services and a transitional living program.

  • Abbe Center for Community Mental Health Logo

    Abbe Mental Health Center is our January Community Partner

    The Abbe Center for Community Mental Health coordinates licensed professionals who work as a team to provide diagnostic and treatment services. Team members include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, and peer support specialists. 

  • The Free Lunch Program is our December Community Partner

    The Free Lunch Program operates six days a week, with volunteer teams preparing and serving nutritious meals to anyone who is hungry. The guiding principle of unconditional respect and hospitality has been as integral to the program as the hot, nourishing meals.
