Throughout the year there are
many opportunities to connect to other UUs, broaden one’s knowledge
and participate in interesting and fun-filled activities.
Many of these are an integral part of our church year, starting with
the informal Sunday Service in the Shakespeare Open-Air Theatre and
picnic in City Park, and extending through various special services
throughout the rest of the year.
Others events combine fun and fund-raising for
various good causes: some local, others far-reaching—including
helping the people in our Partner
Church in Janosfalva, Romania.
Opportunities to meet, work and socialize with
UUs from other places include occasional workshops or consultations
with Unitarian Universalist
experts on such areas as church programming, finance and long-range
planning—and the annual spring meeting with delegates from the
other 57 UU churches, fellowships and societies of the eight-state Prairie Star District of the Unitarian
Universalist Association.
