LIFESPAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

 

Unitarian Universalist churches recognize that religious education is a lifelong learning process. Our association of congregations continues to develop curricula and programming that span the generations.

Our current approach to Lifespan Religious Education comprises programs for children and youth, young adults, and adults. Our Welcome Home Wednesdays provide multi-generational programs six weeks each term. RE Registrations forms are also available at the Children and Youth Committee table in Channing Hall during coffee hour.  Please stop by and fill out a form.  We must have current RE Registration forms on file for your child to be enrolled in the Religious Education Program.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM

We have a growing religious education program with 160 children and youth registered and more than 40 volunteers contributing time and energy to make our program a dynamic and integral part of the congregation.  Our classes explore such areas as celebrating self and world, Unitarian Universalist principles, our Judeo-Christian Heritage, neighboring faiths, sexuality, social justice, and the Coming of Age journey.  This year, the theme of our Religious Education program is "Peace in the World Begins in the Heart."  Classes will explore peace making skill along with Unitarian Universalist curriculum.

CLASS SCHEDULE
Children attend the first 15 minutes of the church service, then meet by grade level in the Worthley Building.

Grades Preschool - Junior High	Second Session Religious Education, 11:00 - 12:15
