Join the UUS Secular Humanists group to discuss “Good Without God: What a Billion Nonreligious People DO Believe,” by Greg Epstein, the Humanist Chaplain at Harvard University. The book is a provocative and positive response to Hitchins (and other New Atheist authors) that makes a bold claim for what nonbelievers do share and believe.
The book also provides a constructive, challenging response to the New Atheists by getting to the heart of Humanism and its positive belief in tolerance, community, morality, and goodness without having to rely on the guidance of a supernatural being.
Several copies of the book are available and can be obtained for $15 from Sue Eberly (594-9597) or purchased online or at a local bookstore. For further information on the Secular Humanists, contact Mark Yuskis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
