CONGREGATIONAL SUPPORT

You can support the work of our society by volunteering. Commitments range from ushering for a service, to helping a member with shopping or meals, to actively planning services as a Worship Associate. Below are brief descriptions of some of the volunteer opportunities available. Please see our Community Service page for opportunities to volunteer to serve the larger community. For more information on how to share your time please email admin@uusic.org with your specific interests.

UNICARE
Unicare—our mechanism for helping members and friends in need of assistance, whether it be for short- or long-term illness, transportation, household help or other needs that might arise for a family or individual. A large group of volunteers are on “standby” to provide a variety of services when necessary.

Worship Associates
Worship Associates support and participate in at least one Sunday worship services each month during the period of September through May. During the period June through mid August, Worship Associates plan the Sunday worship services in coordination with the Society’s minister. Worship Associates also sponsor the annual Labor Day and Memorial Day picnics that mark the beginning and ending of our religious education program year.
