Our growing religious education (RE) program enrolls more than 150 children and youth;
some 40 volunteers contribute their time and energy
to make LRE a dynamic and integral part of
UUSIC
Classes for preschool
through 12th grade explore such areas as celebrating self and world, Unitarian
Universalist principles, our Judeo-Christian heritage, neighboring faiths,
sexuality, social justice, and the Coming of Age journey.
Attending the first 15
minutes of Sunday services
gives children and youth the opportunity to
participate with the congregation in worship and to express their faith before going to their classes.
 |
Our RE classes provide a safe, nurturing community
that encourages children and youth to grow in curiosity, expression,
tolerance, confidence, and self-esteem, and to develop personal values
and responsibilities as they define their faith identity.
LRE program information and
registration forms
are available
here (PDF) and also at the
Children and Youth |
Committee table in
Channing Hall during coffee hour between
Sunday services.
Please stop by and fill out a form
